About

I am Ayse Tursucular, a 3rd-year PhD student in Machine Learning in the H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, advised by Prof. Nagi Gebraeel. Previously, I completed a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and a B.A. in Economics at Koç University.

My research focuses on causal inference and federated learning in interconnected physical systems. I am particularly interested in:

(i) Distributed & Federated Learning: how models can be learned collaboratively across heterogeneous physical systems.

(ii) Causal Discovery & Inference: theory and methods for learning causal relationships and estimating causal effects.

(iii) Dynamic Network Inference: how interdependencies among interconnected dynamical systems can be identified and interpreted from data.
